1. Wash the fabric before starting, to prevent any shrinkage or puckering later.
2. For stitching on T-shirts, an iron-on tear-away stabilizer is recommended. Just iron the stabilizer onto the wrong side of garment after design has been transferred onto right side. Stitch through both T-shirt fabric and stabilizer.
3. When stitching through thick fabrics, like jeans, it is easier to stitch with three stands of Embroidery Floss instead of Pearl Cotton.
4. It is easier to embroider a garment through only one layer of fabric.
5. We don’t recommend stitching on fabric that is stretchy or has ridges.
6. If the thread becomes twisted while you are stitching, let the needle drop, and the thread will untwist naturally. Then resume stitching.
